TVCEF Awards over $6000 to TVSD through EITC
In addition to TVCEF's annual grants that we award every year to Twin Valley school programs, this year we were able to give out over $6,000 to worthy EITC approved programs at TVSD. These programs include the Arts Literacy Initiatives at Twin Valley Middle School and Honey Brook Elementary Center as well as the Anthology of Community Author's program at Robeson Elementary Center. All of these programs are innovative and enrich the day to day curriculum for TVSD students.
For those of you who do not know, the EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) Program is a state program that allows businesses to receive a tax credit by donating to qualifying Educational Improvement Organizations, which TVCEF is one of. This is a great program which connects PA businesses and schools. A big thank you goes out to National Penn Bank and Krapf Bus Company for their EITC donations to TVCEF.
Thank you National Penn Bank and Krapf Bus Company!

TVCEF Announces New Director
We are happy to introduce TVCEF's new Director, Lynn Weller. Lynn is excited to work with the Twin Valley community and schools. She believes it is her career mission to benefit the greater good and bring communities together.
Terry McEwen, Board President, and Lynn Weller, Director
Lynn got her start working with non-profit organizations in
college where she volunteered with Project SHINE: Students Helping In the
Naturalization of Elders. With Project SHINE she taught elderly immigrants
English and naturalization skills and eventually worked with the organization
to bring services to Arab immigrants in Philadelphia. After college she worked
as a Field Manager with the group, Clean Water Action, to gain community
support for protecting our environment. Shortly thereafter she became the
Empowerment Center Director for the YWCA of Bethlehem. At that position she ran
programs in the Bethlehem community to eliminate racism and empower women and
girls. She also worked on numerous fundraising events, such as a 5K race and
golf tournament. Just before coming to TVCEF, Lynn was working at the National
Defense University’s Capstone Program where she helped implement a federally
mandated program for newly appointed generals and flag officers to expand joint
professional military education.
Lynn graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a
BA in Political Science. She also pursued a minor in Religion and spent three
years studying the Arabic Language. She spent her junior year abroad in Amman,
Jordan and participated in a summer program in Sana’a, Yemen. She enjoys
gardening, canning, wine making, sewing, and all things crafty. Lynn and her
husband, Michael, just became new parents to a beautiful daughter, Maybelle. Lynn
currently lives with her family and coonhound, Willi, in Hamburg.
